T4xG series having time issues - KNERD - 02-08-2017 07:07 PM

Some I have fixed by updating the firmware.

Now I am facing two T42Gs the which the time is incorrect, and not updating.

I have added the logs from the phone.

In the hosts we have

216.218.240.162 as primary (ours), and 1.north-america.pool.ntp.org as secondary. Though I have had tried different other ones.

Hi KNERD,

i make a testing on my side, we failed to reproduce the issue. So please help:
1/ can this two hosts works well with the phone before upgrading to latest firmware?
2/ reset the phone and testing again
3/ can this two hosts working well with other phones on your side?

Well, if you look at the pcap file, you can see something is blocking the phone from reaching time server.

What I had to do in this case is to set up an ntp server on the PBX.
Wish I know what is blocking it as there is nothing I am aware of which is blocking.

Dear KNERD,

We found the Peer clock stratum is unspecified or invalid(0), this is the reason the phone can not get the time.
please modify the Stratum value on NTP server to any number between 1 to 15 (the smaller of the number, the more precise it is).
