Connect Jabra GN9120 DG - jens - 06-16-2015 10:43 PM

Hello

I'm trying to get a pair of Jabra GN9120 DG (DECT) headsets to connect to the W52P base.
For all I can see it kind of connects (i.e. the headset name appears on the list of registered hand sets after the registration ) I can even delete the headset and make a new registration so it *seems* to be working.
But I don't get any telephony - no ringing - basically, it seems that things don't work at all with the possible exception of registration.
Can anyone confirm that the GN9120 DG works ( or not ) with W52P - despite the fact that it should be GAP compatible altogether.

Cheers,
Jens

Hi Jens,

It doesn't work with Yealink W52P. The GAP is not compatible between them.

James

Hi James,

thank you for coming back so quickly.

I suspected something in that direction but meanwhile, the W52P datasheet actually reads:
DECT technology:
CAT-iq2.0 focuses on high quality Audio VoIP (wideband),
as well as low bit - rate data applications, fully backward
compatible to DECT GAP

This is why I thought that it indeed might work. Are you also able to explain how "fully backward compatible to DG" relates to "connecting GAP not compatible" ? Judging by my practical experience from my actual implementation (which doesn't work) you are absolutely right , though.

kind regards,
Jens

We had tested several other handsets or some users had tested it before. Other handset model can't work with Yealink base station.
Though they all support GAP, there is some difference in GAP between different manufacturer. Which cause them not work together.

James
