W52P auto provision - ECN - 06-13-2015 12:00 PM

Hi,

I'm using the W52P cordless phone with option 66 pointing to the host-name of an internal TFTP server. The W52P is able to download its common configuration file but fails to download the mac.cfg file. The phones logs indicate the following error:

Quote:Jun 13 03:26:57 LIBD[345]: TFTP<5+notice> tftp open begin, host: -host name removed-, port:69, remote_name:001565858fe9.cfg
Jun 13 03:26:57 LIBD[345]: TFTP<6+info > Send Request Packet
Jun 13 03:26:57 LIBD[345]: TFTP<5+notice> tftp open success
Jun 13 03:27:02 LIBD[345]: TFTP<3+error > Error Select! errno 0
Jun 13 03:27:02 ATP [345]: ATP <3+error > tftp to file failed, code = -8, msg = Read Error, retry = 3
Jun 13 03:27:02 ATP [345]: ATP <4+warnin> Download mac.cfg fail
Jun 13 03:27:02 ATP [345]: ATP <6+info > send end provision!!

I've tried renaming the mac.cfg file that is currently on my tftp server to match what the phone is looking for - 001565858fe9.cfg - but this hasn't resolved the issue. I've stripped the config in the mac.cfg file to the bare basics in an attempt to make troubleshooting easier:

Quote:#!version:1.0.0.1

##File header "#!version:1.0.0.1" can not be edited or deleted.##

#######################################################################################
## Account1 Settings ##
#######################################################################################

#Enable or disable the account 1; 0-Disabled (default), 1-Enabled;
account.1.enable = 1

#Configure the label displayed on the LCD screen for account 1.
account.1.label = 101

#Configure the display name of account 1.
account.1.display_name = 101

#Configure the username and password for register authentication.
account.1.auth_name = 101
account.1.password = -removed-

#Configure the register user name.
account.1.user_name = 101

#Configure the SIP server address.
account.1.sip_server_host = -removed-

#Specify the IP address or domain name of the outbound proxy server.
account.1.outbound_host = -removed-

#Specify the port for the SIP server. The default value is 5060.
account.1.sip_server_port = 5060

#Specify the server port, the default value is 5060.
account.1.outbound_port = 5060

#Configure the transport type; 0-UDP (default), 1-TCP, 2-TLS, 3-DNS SRV;
{if $sip_transport_1 == 'udp'}account.1.transport = 0{/if}
{if $sip_transport_1 == 'tcp'}account.1.transport = 1{/if}
{if $sip_transport_1 == 'tls'}account.1.transport = 2{/if}
{if $sip_transport_1 == 'dns srv'}account.1.transport = 3{/if}

#Configure the SIP port for account 1, the default value is 5060.
account.1.sip_listen_port = 5060

#Configure the register expiry time (in seconds), the default value is 3600.
account.1.expires = 3600

#Configure the RTP packet time. The valid values are 0 (Disabled), 10, 20 (default), 30, 40, 50, 60.
account.1.ptime = 20

The handset and base station are using out of the box firmware. Absolutely no upgrades have been done at this point in time to either.

My question here is why does the W52P fail to download the mac.cfg file?

A more specific question;

I'm trying to download the mac.cfg file via http. The path is specified via the common configuration file with the following line:

#Configure the URL of the auto provisioning server.
auto_provision.server.url = http://host-name/file-location

is anyone able to confirm if they've had success downloading the mac.cfg file using this line in the common configuration file using http?

Hi Sean,

Please pay attention to my email feedback. Just in case, please pay attention to the FAQ attached.

Hi Elaine,

Thank you VERY much, this is exactly what I was looking for. The mac.cfg file now downloads using HTTP as I would like it to. Please pass on my sincere thanks to the support team.

kind regards,
ECN
