Messages Button/Soft Button - Stephen S - 04-29-2015 10:35 AM

I've setup my T48G and have been quite happy but have one issue. I'm testing an Asterisk 13 server and have one of my lines connected to it. In order to get the MWI indicator to work properly, I've set the following:
Subscribe for MWI: Enabled
MWI Subscription Period(Seconds): 180
Subscribe MWI to Voicemail: Enabled
Voice Mail: 5003
Voice Mail Display: Enabled

This is different from my VoIP.ms configuration which has:
Subscribe for MWI: Enabled
MWI Subscription Period(Seconds): 180
Subscribe MWI to Voicemail: Enabled
Voice Mail: *97
Voice Mail Display: Enabled

In the VoIP.ms setup, hitting the screen for the messages waiting or the Message hard button results in a dial out to the voicemail access (*97) but in the Asterisk setup it dials 5003 which is not as expected.

I've tried putting *97 into the Voice Mail for Asterisk but that results in the server logging:
res_pjsip_mwi.c: Unable to locate aor *97. MWI subscription failed.

Any idea's how I can subscribe to MWI and still have the Message button work? Is this a phone limitation or a misconfiguration in Asterisk.

Thanks for any help

Hi,

The 5003 is your extension number? Phone don't have such a limitation, it just send a subscribe message carrying voice mail value to server.
I think it should be a misconfiguration to VM fucntion in Asterisk
