Questions about T46G Upgrade from 28.72.0.1 to 28.73.0.50 - mwoffenden - 04-21-2015 02:03 AM

  1. May I upgrade the phone directly from 28.72.0.1 to 28.73.0.50?
  2. When I upgrade the firmware, does this also do a factory reset?
  3. My VOIP provider has a much older version (28.72.0.1) on their server, will their provisioning work with 28.73.0.50?
  4. I've saved my custom configuration (in a .bin file), may I apply that to the phone after the firmware upgrade?

Hi,

1. Yes, you can.
2. No, phone won't do a factory reset. All configuration will be saved.
3. The provision mechnism is same to V72 and V73.
4. A configuration file in V72 can't be imported to phone runing in V73 since the config.bin file is encrypted in V73. But you custom cofiguration won't be cleared in upgrading.

James
