T46G MWI not clearing after listening to voicemails - Cognicom - 03-15-2015 07:56 PM

Greetings, folks.

I have a customer with multiple T46Gs in their office, one of which is the designated landing point for voicemails left from external callers.

The problem they have is that after listening to all voicemails (and even deleting them), the MWI (message waiting indicator) is still active on the handset. The only way to clear the MWI is to re-boot the 'phone, but the next time a voicemail is received, the process starts all over again (and they obviously don't want to have to re-boot it every day!).

FWIW, the PBX is a Yeastar MyPBX SOHO - an Asterisk-based appliance.

Does anyone have any hints?

Hi,

Is the T46G on a group?
Maybe there is a group message left in phone.

Thanks for your quick reply, James.

The 'phone is part of a ring group, arranged as such;

- Ext 300 (ring group) rings ext 201, 202 & 203.
- If no answer, call is sent to voice mailbox of ext 201.
