DND Doesn't Silence Calls (T46G) - kxjake - 02-06-2015 01:58 PM

I have a T46G with the latest firmware (28.73.193.45) and noticed that even when DND is enabled the phone still rings for incoming calls.

Shouldn't it silence itself when DND is enabled? The voip carrier I use does not have any star code which you can dial to enable DND so I need the phone itself to reject calls or silence.

Any advice?

Hi Jake,

Phone won't silence itself when DND is enabled.
When DND is enable phone can still receive a call if it's DND emergency number in case of urgent situation.

Or do you mean that you enable DND and set no emergency number but phone will still receive a call?

These are not emergency numbers. They are regular inbound calls from anyone. No special numbers. I enabled DND and it doesn't seem to do anything. Phone still rings for any calls.

I have the same problem. Any solutions for this? Now i'm force to use the volume button to silence the device.

Who is the provider? Sounds like your voip carrier is your pbx as well.

I have 1 t46 on 28.73.0.45 and this does not happen.

You have the Broadsoft Firmware installed - but I do not think you are using the Broadsoft PBX - correct me if I am wrong. If you are not usingBroadsoft, change to the correct firmware.

I have the same problem with
Firmware Version 28.80.0.70
Hardware Version 28.2.0.128.0.0.0

I have setup the T46G with
- return Code when DND:480.
- DND Emergency: Disabled
- DND Authorized Numbers: <empty>
- Mode: Phone
- No Action URLs for DND.

But the phone still rings.

Any help is appreciated.

Can you just confirm that you do not have the code "480" actually entered in the settings anywhere under the FEATURES > FORWARD&DND tab in the web based configuration. Because if you do that's a problem. The "on" and "off" fields should all be blank.

I think, you mean "DND on Code" and "DND off code", right? These fields (from V71) are no longer available in V80.
