We have 8 external lines, and I need to configure the DSS keys with BLF to monitor the status of external lines.

Hello Jyamaca,
Please be note that the BLF feature just apply to the lines which registered on one same PBX Server, can't monitor the external lines.
For BLF configuration, you can refer to this guide from page 169/506:Yealink SIP-T2xP IP Phone Family Administrator Guide_V72

The 8 lines are connected to my PBX via FXO interfaces, it is not enough?
Specifically I need to see the status of external lines (free / busy) and to take line at discretion. There is another function that can be programmed into phone

BLF is designed to monitor extensions. I'm not sure what Elastix does out of the box, but normal FreePBX/Asterisk installations do not generate the BLF hints needed to do what you are asking.
If you're familiar with dialplan code it's easy enough to add your own hints in to achieve what you want (i.e. be able to see if each line is in user or not). Keep in mind though that this is not a Key system... so you can't just go and call out on a specific line by pressing that button, or barge into a call that is running on that line when it's in use.
You should really look up Asterisk PBX vs Key system as it sounds like you are not familiar with some basic underlying differences.

I understand that I must read more about it. My inquiry was initiated after searching and finding alternatives forums solution to my question indicating as solution (BLF)
But also understand that the Yealink forum is to help and guide users with their solutions, details regarding the PBX server are that, details and not the end of the question.
