T46G Issues Save Volume settings + BLF pickup - Jeroen - 11-17-2014 05:48 PM

Hello I have currently 2 issues with out T45G phones

Setting
- Firmware 28.72.188.13
- 3cx V12 PBX
- manual provisioning

1) I have configured some DSSKeys to have a blf. In the Extension field I put the default pickup code for 3cx (= *20* ) to be able to also pick the line up, but it does not seem to work.
It does dial the associated Extention, but it refuses to add the pickup code

2) I am looking for a way to save the Volume settings of the T46G. so that after a reboot, the ringtones are not to loud.

I searched the forum and Google, but could not find a solution yet.
Thanks in advance

Hello Jeroen,

1) Could you please tell me whether you can successfully pickup the call via pressing the red flashing BLF key ?
If yes , then you have correctly configured.
As you mentioned:"It does dial the associated Extention, but it refuses to add the pickup code"
I would like to tell you if there is no call to the monitored number, then the status of the corresponding BLF key stay in green . At that time , the BLF key is equal to Speed dial key. And it will not add the pickup code when you press it.
2)Please try to provision the phone via below syntax.
voice.ring_vol = Integer from 1 to 15
It configures the volume of ringer. The default value is 8.
Please refer to the Auto Provision Guide for details.

Thx

Thanks for your answer Coco,

1)
The BLF is configured correctly as far as i know. , and if the phone of the target rings, the blf indeed flashes red. If he talkis it is continious red, and if there is no action on the target phone the led is just continiously green.

This is how i configured the dds key on the test phone to be able to pickup my calls.
[Image: DDSKEY.png]
When i try topick it up while it flashes red, i just see the phone trying to dial the etension number witch results in a "line busy" message

Just to be clear I also allready played arround with different values in both the Value field and the extension field:
*20* && 202
202 && *20*
202 && *20*202
*20*202 && 202

Note: *20* is the default pickup code for the 3CX pbx. If i dail itmanually while the led flashes red, I can pick the line up.

2) Sadly, due to multiple accounts and the lack of support for 3cx PBX, I have to configure all phones manually. However I guess i could create a default provisioning, safe it, and then add the stuff i am not able to add to the auto provisioning files

In the WebGUI check out the FEATURES TAB - then CALL PICKUP.
The Pickup code should be here and enabled.
You can also set an audible alert (beep) or visual alert (on your phone screen).
Then in your screen shot image - the VALUE and EXTENSION would both be the same.
(Its been a while since I set this up - but this should put you in the right direction)
