T26P : Sip Server 2 -> No More BLF - anonymous1711612242218 - 11-11-2014 03:23 AM

Phone : T26P
Firmware: 6.72.0.80

I have some T26P registered to Asterisk Call Server with a backup server (Sip Server 2). If I stop Sip Server 1, BLF keys are no more registered.

I have on the same call servers Cisco Spa phones and BLF are still working on the backup call server.

I have run again Call Server 1, BLF keys are back.

Thanks a lot for your support.

BR.

Hi Julien,

So do you mean the Cisco phones and BLF can work but Yealink not in the same scenario?
Would you please upgrade your firmware to V73 beta version and test it again? You can download the firmware from below link:
V73 Beta2 Version Firmware And Release Notes of Version 73 Release

In order to do more troubleshootings, please reproduce your scenario and supply syslog level 6, config.bin and pcap and send to me.
About how to get these files, please refer to this FAQ.
How to Get the Correct Syslog, Config.bin and Trace

thanks

Yes I mean that blf on Cisco phones are working in the same scenario.

I will try v73 firmware and if I keep the same issue I will send you troubleshooting files.

Thanks for the quick answer.

Same BLF issue on backup sip server mode with firmware 6.73.0.16.

I will send you log files asap.

Thanks for your support.

Julien

Hi,

Please find enclosed troubleshooting files.

I did the following scenario :

- T26P is up connected to the Primary SIP server with BLF keys ON (green or red)
- Stop Primary SIP Server
- Wait for T26P for registering to the Secondary SIP Server
- Make a call to be sure of the connection with the Secondary Server (at this time BLF keys are off).
- Start Primary Server
- Wait for T26P for registering back to the Primary SIP server
- Make a call to be sure of the connection with the Primary Server (at this time BLF keys are back on).

I have a Cisco SPA509G also connected at the same time, this one is keeping BLF keys on the secondary sip server.

Thanks a lot for your support.

Julien.

Hi docteurmicro50,

Sorry for the delay. I have received your email. After check the trace, I want to confirm your account whether register to your Secondary Server successfully. Because I found the T26 phone send to the Register packet to server, but server send the 594 DESTINATION UNREACHABLE pcket back. So please check the port whether correct you entered into the Secondary Server.
Can you make the call successfully after Waiting for T26P for registering to the Secondary SIP Server? We can confirm it whether has registered to Secondary Server successfully.

If you have confirmed it is correct, would you please provide the PCAP file of Cisco? Then I can compare it with Yealink phone.

May I know how many Yealink phones do you have and how many have this issue?
And please tell me your email address. Maybe I can email you.
thanks

Hi Yealink_Wilson,

I can confirm that the account was successfully registered to the Secondary Call Server. I can make calls and the main screen si displaying that the line is available. Only Led on BLF Keys are off, I can call when I press a BLF key without LED Status. The config entered for the secondary call server is good.

I will try to provide PCAP file of the cisco phone (SPA509G), I have to find how to do it with this phone (actually I don't know).

I can can confirm that both phones (Cisco and Yealink) are connected on the same switch and internet access.

If I look to the asterisk process on the secondary call server, I call see all the phones coming in order to register to the new call server (125 phones).

On these call servers (primary/secondary), I have 125 phones (around 90 yealink T26P/T28P and 25 cisco SPA509G). Only all the Yealink phones have this issue.

My mail address is julien.revert@revertconsulting.com

Because of this issue, I cannot provide the same level of features on Yealink Phones in case of backup mode on the secondary call server.

Thanks a lot in advance for your support.

Best regards,

Julien R.

Hi Yealink_Wilson,

One interesting information for you :

If I inverse SIP1 and SIP2 into the phone configuration, BLF are stopping working even if primary server is always on, only the place into the yealink configuration (SIP Server 1 -> SIP Server 2) has changed. If I reboot the phone with this configuration the result is the same : no more BLF. If I switch back the yealink configuration ( SIP Server 2 -> SIP Server 1), BLF are back...

So my conclusion is as soon as you set a sip server as "Sip Server 2" into yealink configuration, you don't have any BLF working for this server...

Thanks in advance for your support.

Regards,

Julien R.
