Reliability issues with headset control via EHS - andrewm - 03-02-2013 07:28 AM

Before switching to Yealink, I'd been using 2 wireless headsets with remote handset lifters. These worked flawlessly.

Since switching phones over to T38's, the operation of the headsets via the EHS 36 is not so reliable. It seems to pertain to the call control, rather than the audio.

GN Netcom 9350 + T38: Loses the ability to control the phone from the headset. Rebooting the phone temporarily re-establishes a working system - it won't last more than a day though.

Plantronics Savi + T38: Random phone hangups; one time it was on successive calls, around 10 seconds into the call. Rebooted the headset and it all worked fine again.

In both cases T38,s were running 38.70.0.115. EHS Hardware Version is 48.0.0.0, & EHS Firmware Version us 1.16.0.0

Again, never any control problems using old handset lifter - only since switching to T38's.

I can verify this problem as well with the T28 + EHS36. I just bought Jabra 9330E Wireless headsets and they have the same problem as you described. I will update the firmware of both the T28 and EHS36 to see if this resolves the problem we have.

I'm also having this problem with a T26, EHS36 and Jabra 920. I've tried updating the EHS36 firmware and the latest FW on the T26 but no luck. It works initially, but inevitably loses the ability to answer and hang-up.

I have used the Jabra 9120 with the T26 and EHS36 and it has been fine in the past.

Did you have any luck resolving this issue? We have recently switched to the Yealink T26p and purchased a EHS36 to run our jabra GN9330e,..... having issues connecting and disconneting using the headset,.. CHEERS

Same problem here with Jabra 9400 and 9120 in combination with Yealink T46G, T28P and T26P. We use the EHS and Phone's with the latest firmware.

Hi ALL,

About those issues, please check the connection between EHS36 and wireless headset when the issues happen.
You can refer to the Test wireless headset list compatible with EHS36 in below link.

I also upload a connection figure between T46G and Jabra 920. T46G_EXP_EHS_Jabra.JPG
And a figure between T46G and Plantronics CS540.

Hello Yealink Support,

My jabra's are present in your test list.
The connection I made is according your figure you sent with your reply.

The jabra's are working fine for appr. a day and then I have to reset the EHS by taking out the cable from the phone to the EHS. After connecting the cable back to the EHS every works fine again for appr. a day.

Hi gekran,

Can you tell me the model and version of your phone?
And the connection diagram would be appreciative.
Then we can try to reproduce in yealink office.
