USB-Support @ YeaLink - webermi - 09-29-2014 05:40 PM Hello, we actually have a Siemens telephone system and have the phones connected over USB to our laptops. We dial with our own support-software direct out with this connection (CallBridge TU). At end of this year we want to change the system to a 3CX System and want to buy Yealink IP-Phones (T46G?). The question is now: can we also dial like the old way (no lift of the receiver) over USB? We cannot use the network for this because our laptops have a VPN connection to our customer. We also cannot change anything with the VPN. BR Michael RE: USB-Support @ YeaLink - Wilson_Yealink - 09-30-2014 02:16 PM Hi Michael, I am afraid T46G phone doesn't support dial the call via conneting the usb with laptops. But we support remote control the phone to dial directly via action URI. for more information, please refer to the admin guide. Yealink_SIP-T4X_IP_Phone_Family_Administrator_Guide Yealink phone is fully compatible with 3cx server. And our phones support directly IP call and OpenVPN. It means if the phone connect with an same network, you can dial ip call directly. If you want to know more information about our products, I suggest you can broswe the official website of yealink. http://www.yealink.com/product.aspx thanks RE: USB-Support @ YeaLink - webermi - 09-30-2014 07:43 PM Problem is, that we have laptops from our biggest customer and these have a closed VPN-connection to the customer-network. e.g. we cannot print on our own network-printers. We also cannot configure the VPN or use extra VPN-apps. What about connecting the laptops over BT with the T46G (with connected BT adapter). Does your software support dialing over this interface? Why not just add a USB->Ethernet adapter and configure it for your local network? Then you could print and do things normally on your own LAN, while leaving the VPN intact and unchanged. Just a thought anyway. RE: USB-Support @ YeaLink - Wilson_Yealink - 10-11-2014 04:58 PM Hi jolouis, Thanks for your suggestion. Hi webermi, I sorry to tell you the BT40 only be used to connect the bluetooth headset, don't support to connect the laptops curretly. If you have Yealink phone to test now, you can test connect the network cable to the Internet port of phone, the connect the pc port to your laptop. Becasue Yealink phone can be as a small switch. For more detailed network settings you should ask your network administrator for help. I am not sure it can work in your network, please have a try. Any update, please feel free let me know. |
