Turn Off Headset - earplug - 09-20-2016 05:23 AM

T48G - Is there a way to automatically turn off the headset when terminating a call?

I use the headset for some call but not all. When I am done with a call I lay the headset down. I have internal calls set to answer automatically through the speaker. If I just set the headset down the call is auto answered through the headset and I can't hear the call.

Hi Sir,

About your question, you can set the Ringer Device for both Headset&Speaker.

Please go to the web interface of the phone, go to Features->Audio->Ringer Device for Headset, choose Use Headset&Speaker, then click confirm to save the configure.

Also, you can refer to the picture in the attachment.

This is the way I have it set. It does not help. if I make a call to the phone using *80[ext] the call still goes to the headset if the headset button is on.

What I would like to happen is when I terminate any call (internal or external) the headset goes to the OFF state.

Sorry that we don't support to automatically turn off the headset when terminating a call currently. But you can press the HEADSET key in the keyboard to deactivated the headset mode, when you terminate the call.

Dear Yealink support,

is there a chance this feature will be integrated into the next release? There are many people/companies in this forum which seem to really miss this feature.

Best regards
Friedrich

We have customers that would like the ability for intercom to come through both speaker and headset when in headset. When reception intercoms someone that has headset enabled and they set their headset down, they can't hear the intercom. Users don't always remember to disable the headset button.

They had this feature on their NEC phones. Now with new Yealink phones they lose a feature they had with old legacy phones. They want to get rid of their current system with the Yealink phones and put back in a NEC system.
