YHS32 Headset & SIP-T22P Phone - willie.pexa - 09-19-2014 09:40 AM

Hi,

We've got a bunch of YHS32 headsets that we use with our T22P phones.

We have had a few issues with the YHS32 dropping midway through a conversation. The level drops before fading out completely. Staff have had to pick up the handset frantically when that happens.

Other times you will press the headset button to make a new call and there would be no sound coming through.

It solves itself if you unplug the headset and plug it back in after a minute, at times you have to do that multiple times before it starts working again.

I've mixed and matched different phones with the "faulty" headsets and still get the same results.

Before I send all these headsets back for RMA, is there a known issue with these headsets? Or maybe a way that I can test this out to ensure it's the headset and not the base phone that is causing the issue?

Cheers,
Willie

Hi Willie,

Sorry for the late.
How many YHS32 do you have now? All of them have the problem?
And please provide these YHS32's SN number.

Regards,
James

Hi Willie,

It's probably a hardware problem. PLease contact your vendor for a RMA.
If they don't help on it. Please let me know where are you from and where do you buy these YHS32? Our sales will help.

Regards,
James

Dears,

Hello,

I'm facing the same issue with T20, and the same headsets(YHS32)... those devices worked normally for a year, and then started to have problem: the audio is muted in the middle of conversation, then after unplug-plug back of headset's the conversation can be normally continued.
We purchased two new headsets(again the same YHS32) from local representative of Yealink in Armenia(UNICOMP) and after using the headsets for two weeks the problem again started to come up. Could you please let me know what to do?

Thank you in advance,
Arthur

I have the same issue with T23g phones and YHS32. Out of 22 phones with this setup we have four that have this intermittent problem. I can't work out whether it is a phone issue of a headset issue. One of the users has had the issue with two separate headsets. The second headset he swapped with someone who had previously not had a problem with it. I have had it with two different phones but using the same headset.

All phones are on the latest firmware. We use a 3CX PBX.

What is the consensus that the solution is for this - send the phones back to supplier or the headsets?
