2 Beeps before busy-signal - ike - 02-19-2013 04:17 PM

Hello,

i have set "Call Waiting" = Disabled and "Return Code When Refuse" = 486 (Busy).
When someone calls me, he becomes two beeps and then the busy signal, when i have an other telephone-call.
The caller must think, that i am available and then after two rings i press a refuse-button.
Here in germany this behaviour is not gracefully.

Is it possible, to configure the T26P-Phone, that the caller receive immediately the busy-signal (and not after two rings)?
The Phone is conneted to the VOIP-Router "AVM Fritz-Box 7270".

(Sorry, not native english-speaker)

Thank you!

Bernd

HI Bernd

The two beeps it's told to the caller that he had sent the call successful to the callee. If we remove the two beeps ,the caller have no idea whether he have contected to the callee.

Best regards

Hi, thank you for your response.
This is in Germany not the standard behaviour for telephones (i doesn't know a person who have a telephone with the Yealink-behaviour).
When the caller receive first a normal tone (he must be think "hey, he is available" Smile ) and after the busy signal the caller must be think "he want not to speak with ME" Angry
Here in Germany this behaviour is impolite.

Is it possible to have this feature user-configurable in the next firmware (e.g. "beeps before busy")?

Best regards

Bernd

HI Bernd

Yes that isn't impolite to the caller .
The reason why the caller will hear two beeps before the busy signal is when the caller call you , you will send a "486 busy here" sip info to the server ,then server send caller a "180 ringing" (to tell the caller that he had sent the call successful to the callee ) .So when the caller get the "180 ringring " , the phone which is belong to caller will make a Ring Back tone to caller .

If it is possible , when the server receive "486 busy here" will forward it to the caller immediately instead of "180 ringing" . so this problem will be solved .
