RingTone OFF to one click ?¿ - cachiputi - 02-06-2013 10:20 PM

Hello!

I have a Yealink T28P I have some doubts, I hope you can help me to resolve.

You can leave the phone in silence with a single button?
For when it reaches a certain time of day, leave quietly. So far I've only been able to leave quietly pulling down the volume to 0, but I'm interested to know if there is or can be configured as a button with which with a click stop at 0 volume and leave it with another click to the level was.

Thank you!

Would using the DND function not achieve a similar function?

The only difference from a caller point of view is their call would go straight to voicemail, instead of ringing a few times then going to voicemail. I get that this may not be desirable though.

Exactly, with DND calls go directly to voicemail.
What I want is, that at certain times, you can press a button type "mute" with which the volume down to 0 or 1.
For example, if my parents go to bed at 21:00 I can continue doing things in the office (which is next to their rooms) and I want to continue to receive calls, but the phone rings, to avoid waking or disturbing anyone.
Now I fix down the volume with the volume keys, but is impractical, give 20 times the button to lower the volume to 0 and then again in the morning to give 20 times to put the volume to my liking.

Here's an idea.. leave the volume control turned up at a decent volume.. then use either provisioning (with a low refresh time?) or the XML browser to hit a page that would change the ringtone assignment for a line? Have a WAV file with a low volume, and one with a standard volume, and switch between them?

First option provides for rough time of day (depending on your provisioning period/frequency), the second option gives it to you on a button (leading to a menu maybe, to select regular versus quiet WAV file?)

It is a good idea, but honestly, not as used as the xml. I am a novice user, with this type of phone.
It has so many options and settings that I take even 1% of their potential, because many parameters, not, or they mean or what they are for.

Besides that my English is very bad xD

Thank you!

We've got a long weekend here so I'm going to be spending some more time playing with my phone. I'll see if I can accomplish what you want to do, and let you know.

Which model of phone do you have?
