Hi,
I am trying to use the V70 provisioning with the T38G phone with firmware version 38.70.23.4 and hardware version 21.3.4.160.64.0.0.
The documentation says that to change the wallpaper by provisioning we should use:
wallpaper_upload.url = url
I have tried using:
wallpaper_upload.url = http://mysite.com/myimage.png
I can see the phone requesting the URL, but the wallpaper doesn't change.
What is wrong?

Hi,
Use the syntax
wallpaper_upload.url = http://mysite.com/myimage.png
only let the phone download the wallpaper from the server just like upload the wallpaper from the web UI, but you still neeed to configure the image file as the wallpaper .
you can select it from the web UI , the path is under Phone->Preference page.
also you can configure it through auto provision.
#Configure the phone background.
#If you set the custom image (new.png) as phone backgroup, the value is: phone_setting.backgrounds = Config:new.png
#If you set the system image (pictures(01).png) as phone backgroup, the value is: phone_setting.backgrounds = Resource:pictures(01).png
phone_setting.backgrounds =
for example the custom image is pov.png, the syntax should be :
phone_setting.backgrounds = Config:pov.png

Thanks I will give that ago.
It was not clear in the documentation that there was an option called phone_setting.backgrounds, maybe the docs need to be improved.

Hi
i have problem with these wallpaper upload und the german user interface language not the admin webinterface
my prov.settings from the wallpaper are
[ bin:/phone/userdata/BackGround/IMG_3156.jpg ]
wallpaper_upload.url = http://192.168.1.240/IMG_3156.jpg
[ cfg:/phone/config/user.ini ]
PhoneSetting.BackGrounds = Config:IMG_3156.jpg
the log from the phone says
DEB Warning: Not found /phone/userdata/BackGround/IMG_3156.jpg::wallpaper_upload:url
and the language settings from the prov.
Lang.ActiveWebLanguage = German

I have seen issues where the file does not get loaded quickly enough and the background is not shown until the next phone restart

fine i have spent the hole day for these problem
any idea to these issuse workaround???
did you have an idea to my "german" problem ???
i had the next weeks to fire up 140 phones so please help

but no luck with wallpaper
