Synchronize local directory with personal contacts - logiccenter - 07-04-2014 10:38 PM

Hello.
We are testing T46G IP Phone to replace old Linksys SPA962 but we have a problem.
With the SPA962, we can synchronize local directory with personal contacts by software sending data to phone by HTTP post when contact file is updated..
With T46G we found only provisioning from xml file method. Is there a HTTP direct method for this ?

Hi logiccenter,

1.You can use remote phonebook feature.I have attached you the remote phonebook file. You just modify the information to yours.
2.Put the file in your HTTP server, then you can get a URL.
3.Access to the webpage->Settings->Auto provison.
Copy the URL into the server URL filed. Like below picture.

4.Click the Autoprovision button to Autop.

But if we use the remote phonebook as corporate phonebook, user cannot have a personnal phonebook. And we don't have the three phone number per contact.

OK, in fact, if you don't have the three phone nunber per contact, you can only add one number.
If you only want to use local directory, please refer to this thread.

So we cannot update local phonebook directly. But, can we force the upload by software (the same which create the xml file) ?
