We need a way to force the phones to RING instead of play a call waiting tone. The call waiting tone makes it difficult to hear our customers currently on the line, and when you have 4-5 calls incoming simultaneously, the tone keeps beeping into the ear piece or head set (and you can't hear your caller at all).

Can we please have some updated firmware to address this? Should be an option for call waiting to "play tone" or "ring" and you should be able to force the tone or ring out either the headset or speaker, regardless of what you're using.

We just bought 100 T46g's for our implementation, and we cannot go forward with the system until we have call waiting RING.

I agree with you completely, and I suggested this in the "Wishlist" myself. Several other types of phones have settings to ring on the speaker (Polycom & Cisco), and it would be really nice to have this feature on the Yealinks.

You can turn off the call waiting tone by going into Settings->Tones , then choosing "custom" in the top drop down. From there, you can make your own tone or put in a "0" to turn off the tone.

To change the tone to a different pattern, you can try something like this:
600/100,0/60000
That would be a beep of frequency 600 for 100ms, followed by no sound for 60 seconds. Essentially, you'd get one beep and that is it.

It still would be nice to let you know that you have a call on the other line without having to turn it off completely... but you can at least turn it off, and it will ring when you hang up the current call.

Thank you for your suggestion ,our phones don't support this feature currently. We will collect more demands about this issue.
And I will submit your suggestion to our product department.

We request this feature too.

Many times new calls got missed, not good at all.

If you search through this forum for "call waiting" and "ring", you'll see it's been requested quite a few times.
To anyone else looking for this feature to be added, I suggest calling your vendor to have them engage Yealink as well. Some of the larger vendors will probably have more sway than random internet folk Smile

Whether you dont like having the call waiting beep wiping out the person that you are speaking to. Or if you would like to be able to have someone at an adjacent desk be able to hear that there is a second incoming call so they can hit a pickup button and answer it. Either way
this way would be a great addition to Yealink's strong feature package.

May I know your scenario.
You want this feature due to a user habbit or you also miss a call for not hearing a ring?
