***Warning*** message from Mac Pro Server - rfrantik@rfcinc.com - 01-23-2013 05:50 AM

We have a client running a network with an Apple Mac Pro Server.

Occasionally our clients' T26P phones show a message on the screen:

***Warning***
detected from
MAC: 3c:07:54:7d:xx:xx
Resume Reboot

The MAC address that shows in the warning is that of the Apple Mac Pro Server. (the xx at the end of the MAC is intentional to hide the actual value) The Apple server is NOT running DHCP and we don't find any IP Address conflicts. The Warning message has shown up on multiple phones at different times. Generally hitting resume brings the phone back to normal operation.

All phones are T26's running v6.61.0.83 firmware.

Anyone know what this error means?

You might have a rogue DHCP server on your network. You can use the DHCP Test Tool in IPNetMonitorX to check for this (free for 21-days).
