Simultaneous Ring Group or Queue pickup and Dead Air - Lee Si Tsin - 07-05-2016 12:33 AM

Hi, everyone!

We’ve recently seen a very interesting issue that we’ve never got a resolution for:

We use Yealink t40P (FirmWare T40-54.80.0.125) phones, but tried this on other Yealink models, as t42 and t46, using 3CX (V14.3) as a server application, tried restarting the server and phones, tried this on different instances and different networks. The issue was appearing everywhere.

Basically, when a call comes to a Ring Group or Queue and multiple agents pickup the call at the same time, the first who pickups would get the call. The others should receive the standard dialtone, though they actually pickup a call and receive do not hear anything.
Usually when you pick up a handset without a call, the screen on the phone changes to a list of previous destination and the dialtone would be heard, though, during that issue it does not. It is being kept in the same standard state with no sound indication.

I've got an answer from 3CX support, after providing the logs from the phones and server, as:
"From the attached files we can still see that ext 106 is sending a 200 OK message that establishes the call, few miliseconds after the first extension has send the same message. Kindly note that from the PBX side this functionality cannot change as the PBX receives the final responses from the phones almost at the same time (few miliseconds difference) and it depends on which send it first it will complete the call while the second one will not receive any audio back as the call was completed elsewhere. "

Do you guys would have any ideas of what could be done about it?

Hi,

Is the xx.80.0.125 firmware supported by 3CX?
Why don’t you use the by 3CX recommended firmware instead of the .125 firmware?
I don’t know the difference between the .125 and .110 firmware, but it can’t harm to test your install with the .110 firmware.

Hey!
Well, I've tried .95 and .110 with no luck.
Nothing has seemed to do any kind of effect.
