T22p Will Not Import VPN .tar - darius - 04-23-2014 03:53 AM

Hello,

I've been running into some issues attempting to upload an openvpn.tar file to a T22p. After selecting the file and hitting "Import" it shows "importing file" then returns to the Advanced Networking screen with nothing uploaded, and VPN still set to disabled.

I'm running 7.70.0.141 on the phone. I referenced the following thread for how to structure the file:

http://forum.yealink.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=93&highlight=vpn

I made sure my .tar is in the same format as Flora's openvpn.tar file, but it still won't import.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Darius

Sorry. This is old file. Please refer to the latest user guide of OPENVPN.

I followed that guide as well, formatting the files into the following tree:
\openvpn\vpn.cnf
\openvpn\keys\ca.crt
\openvpn\keys\client.crt
\openvpn\keys\client.key

I created a .tar of the openvpn directory, and it still wouldn't import. Would you be able to advise me as to what conditions would prevent an import? That would potentially help me troubleshoot this better.

Can you send your .tar file to me?

I have found out the problem. Please only pack keys folder and vpn.cnf as openvpn.tar.
Don't creat an openvpn folder anymore.

I'm reviving this old thread because it solved the problem I'd been working on all day with a new T46G on the latest 73 firmware (and also my first Yealink phone.) I was following the instructions in the white paper and TARRING (using 7-zip in windows) the entire ovenvpn directory containing the vpn.cnf file and the keys directory. The phone simply refused to activate the VPN saying there was no config file. It was only after I packed only the keys folder and vpn.cnf (selecting them, righ-clicking, and archiving) that the phone accepted the configuration and established the VPN connection to my Untangle firewall.

Thank you!!!!

Hello,

I got the same problem with my T22P.
I have create a openvpn.tar file with

/keys/ca.crt
/keys/client.crt
/keys/client.key
/keys/vpn.cnf

But I still can't upload the config file into the phone.

Did there anyone have the same problem as mine??
Please tell me how to fix it, thanks a lot.

John
