W52H - "Registration Failed" - norbi - 06-02-2016 08:23 AM

Purchased a new W52H to add to my W52P. I am trying to register my new handset with the W52P, but each try results in a "Registration Failed"

I have tried:
Handset reset on all devices
Base Restart
Base Reset
De-Reg all handsets

Each time, the new device will not register with the base.

Any suggestions?

Is the new purchased handset work in the same country as your base is?
e.g. a EU version handset won’t work with a US version base, because the radio spectrum is not the same.

I purchased both sets through Amazon.com, in the US.

Hi,

In your first post you mention “Base Reset”
I assume you mean you reset the Base to Factory Default?

How many handsets are registered to the Base?
As you know this is limited to 5 handsets.

Please check the handset to make sure the handset is in the right area.
Press OK, select Status > Handset > Area

Are you using a repeater?

Handset Registration (you probably know well, it’s just a hint)
Long press the Paging Key, located at the front of the base, until the registration LED slow flashes
Press OK on the handset, select Settings > Registration > Register Handset
Select which base you going to use, press OK
The handset begins to search for the base station.
When the base is found, press OK and enter the system PIN: “0000”
Done.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. They did send one from Europe. I guess I will have to return this.
