I know this cannot be added via just firmware but in the future model phones HD on the headset audio path would be nice. Also if this is implemented (which it should be as Polycom does" make sure the mcrophone sensitivity or sent volume is adjustable.
Also I would prefer to have USB support for the headsets since most all USB headset already offer HD voice and generally most all headsets can function with a simple generic driver, at least in a Windows OS it does but don't see why something similar can't be done for hardware phones for headsets as well.
