I can understand that however it would have been nice if the last releases of SkypeMate were stable and fully functional prior to abandoning the product.

After searching around for the latest Skypemate I found version 6.0.0.1 for download on the Socatel website here http://www.sogatel.com/downloads/
I have installes it on Windows 7 64bit and so far it seems to work OK
