We have quite a few T46G phones. Is there any way for the phone to ring when you're on a call? We are moving from a Nortel system and the phones would ring even if you were on a call. This alerted the users to "pick up" your call. In our situation it was much better than having all the phones ring in a group. With the Yealink phones, our users only hear a faint beep with an incoming call (if they're already on the phone). The only other notification the other users would have would be a blinking BLF key. We would prefer, if at all possible, setting the phones to ring when on a call so the other users would know to pick up the call. Is there an option in the Yealink T46G phones to enable ringing when on a call?

I have changed all of the Call Waiting settings, including Tone Disabled, Tone Enabled, and I changed the Ring Device for Headset to Use Speaker and User Headset and Speaker. So far I am unable to get the phone to ring, it just beeps. I need it to ring even if the user is on a call. Is there any way to achieve this? Thank you!,

I have requested this feature directly with Yealink and they just get stuck on the Call Waiting Tones. No matter how hard I try and explain they cannot seem to understand the significance of this feature. You will see it has been requested MANY times through out this forum but no go.

Hi all,
Yealink phone don't support the second incoming ring right now.
We will submit this request to our PD.
What we current suggest is the call waiting feature.

Karl - Thank you for submitting this request to PD. It would be extremely helpful. Here's a scenario:
I have an office with four clerks. Each clerk has a phone. They each answer each other's calls. When one person's phone rings, if they are busy and the other clerks notice, they will pick up that person's call. This works much better than having all of the phones ring at once. This has been a significant setback for us as we have several offices like this. We have converted from an old Nortel system which did allow the phone to ring out loud when on a call. The call waiting feature doesn't work for us because other people in the room can't hear it. Thank you for considering this request.

Call waiting function solved my problem. In the beginning it didn't seem to work. But eventually, by trial and error, it work.

Yealink: Any more word on a possible option to get these phones to ring audibly (where other people can hear it - through the speaker) when on a call?
Does anyone know if this behavior is possible with another brand IP phone? I'm running 3CX and if another phone supports this functionality I might have to go that route instead. There's no telling when or if Yealink will ever offer this functionality.

Based on the Release Notes (page 35) the Grandstream GXP2130,GXP2140,GXP2160,GXP2170 might be an option.

I haven't tested the functionality myself yet but according to the release notes these phones support this functionality
