Remap HOLD key to Transfer or DTMF - TheShniz - 03-14-2014 06:06 AM It would be great for keysystem people to be able to remap the HOLD key to Transfer or DTMF (currently not an option in v72), so we can send callers to the Parking Lot (and then anyone can pickup via parking)... essentially SLA workaround. Snom can already do this, but would much rather use Yealink if possible. RE: Remap HOLD key to Transfer or DTMF - CWR - 03-14-2014 06:15 AM You can remap the HOLD key to TRANSFER. But in the menu, it is called FORWARD. But you can not say "Where to Transfer To"... Are you trying to use SP's or *0/*1 Parks? RE: Remap HOLD key to Transfer or DTMF - TheShniz - 03-14-2014 10:02 PM Not sure what you're saying, but there's no real shared line appearances (SLA's) in asterisk and it would be nice if the HOLD button could be remapped to 'Transfer to 70' -or- 'play DTMF of ##70#' ... essentially parking the call. In fact, the type of 'Call Park' could also be used with a value of 70, if it were selectable. Just looking for some way to park a call when the user presses hold. RE: Remap HOLD key to Transfer or DTMF - CWR - 03-14-2014 10:53 PM I am not familiar with Asterick... but I wasn't really referring to SLAs. 3cx doesn't have them either. They are really a thing of the past. I was just saying that you -can- remap the hold key to Transfer... but it is not what you are looking for exactly. You want it to dial the numbers for you... there has been some talk in other threads of allowing the BLF's (and usually all the keys) to be able to do more and combine operations... Maybe we will see that this year... RE: Remap HOLD key to Transfer or DTMF - TheShniz - 03-15-2014 04:44 AM Yeah, I've been reading those threads as well, and very much hope so... The 'transfer to voicemail' (for another user) from the other thread in particular is a very often requested ability. That and perhaps the ability to change the state of buttons like the softkeys, as in when state = idle, "do this" versus when state = active, "do that" (similar to how Aastra does it). ...also got these beautiful displays now, and would love to monitor ip security cameras or have a full browser (but now I know I'm dreaming, heh) |
