Transfer a call to a phone that has "Always forrward" active - yeacpt - 04-20-2016 07:48 PM

Hi,

When the Manager is at his desk and enable "Always Forward" to the assistant and the assistant want to transfer the call to the Manager, it is not possible.

Is there a way to achieve that like on commercial PBX (Nortel for exemple)?

Thanks.

Regards.

Hi yeacpt,

you have sevveral different options. Which pbx are you using?
You can provision several different accounts on the phone and use DND invoke a vorward rule for only one account. Or you change the satus with a linekey (has to be supported by pbx).
Or you set the forwarding rules on the pbx/softphone and make an exception for the secretary.
Or do you even do yome login in and out of ques (with a linekey).

Lots of different options with different effects on call-history (local, pbx), visibility of current status on phone and ease of switching status.

In the 3cx forum there are some detailed discussions, but it is discussing this use case on Yealink phones connected to a 3cx pbx.

Thanks for your answer.

I use Asterisk 11 and FreePBX 2.11.

You are right. There are two parameters "Forward Emergency" and "Forward Authorized Number" that do the job.

Thanks for your help.
