US Mountain Timezone - tfc - 03-10-2014 01:31 AM

It seems as though all my Yealink phones have a problem with the timezone

-7 United States-Mountain Time

The TZs work fine if I use Central Time and Pacific Time just not Mountain (and I'm talking about the generic mountain TZ used in CO not the specific for AZ). This is obviously an issue today due to DST. A workaround appears to be -7 Canada.

Is this a bug or user error?

Thanks!

Tim

I do not recall - is there a setting to enable DST?

Hi tfc,

I think i don't see DST for -7 Mountain Time now.
Where are you? For -7 Canada, the DST is on now.

I have attached a screen shot of the relevant Time Zone options from the web UI.

The phones are located in Colorado USA which is in the TZ:

-7 United States-Mountain Time

Here are the details about USA TZs:

http://www.nist.gov/pml/div688/localtime.cfm

I think the bug is quite obvious. The implementations for

"-7 United States-Mountain Time" and "-7 United States-MST no DST"

appear to be the same yet should be implemented differently.

The implementation of "-7 United States-Mountain Time" should match the "-8 United States-Pacific Time" and "-6 United States-Central Time"

"-7 United States-MST no DST" is a unique implementation for Arizona.

Is there an update or fix for this? other than setting the -6/-8 time zones twice/year
