[FAQ] How to upgrade EHS36? - Yealink Support - 03-08-2014 03:43 PM This post provides instructions on how to upgrade the firmware of EHS36. Yealink SIP - T28P, SIP - T26P , SIP-T38G or SIP-T46G IP phones with specific firmware support to upgrade the firmware of EHS36 to the latest one. 1. Upgrading to EHS36 Firmware(3.16.0.0) by T28P or T26P The specific firmware version of SIP - T28P IP phone is 2.60.200.242.rom. You can download it >>here<<. The specific firmware version of SIP - T28P IP phone for 188 custom version is 2.60.188.242.rom. You can download it >>here<<. The specific firmware version of SIP - T26P IP phone is 6.60.200.245.rom. You can download it >>here<<. NOTE: 6.60.200.245 can only be used in the hardware number smaller than 4.0.1.38 If the hardware number of your T26P is larger than 4.0.1.38, please use 6.60.200.243.rom to upgrade your EHS36 to version (2.16.0.0) You can download it >>here<<. Before upgrading the EHS36 firmware, make sure the firmware version of the SIP - T28P IP phone is 2.60.200.242 (or 6.60.200.245 for the SIP - T26P IP phone ). To upgrade the firmware of your IP phone, refer to Yealink Auto Provisioning User Guide, which is available from web at >>here<<. EHS36 firmware upgrade is triggered by the Zero Active feature on the IP phone during its startup. First, you need to enable the Zero Active feature on the IP phone via web user interface. The following takes the Yealink SIP - T28P IP phone as an example: To enable the Zero Active feature via web user interface: (1). Press the OK key on the phone when it is idle to obtain the IP address. (2). Enter the IP address (e.g., http://192.168.0.10 or 192.168.0.10) in the address bar of web browser on your PC and then click Enter. (3). Enter the user name and password in the pop-up dialogue box. The default login user name is admin (case-sensitive) and the password is admin (case-sensitive). (4). Click on Upgrade->Advanced. (5). Select Enabled from the pull-down list of Zero Active. (6). Enter the waiting time in the Wait Time(s) field. The default value is 5 seconds. (7). Click Confirm to accept the change. Please do not connect the EHS36 to your IP phone first. To upgrade the EHS36 firmware: (1). Reboot the IP phone. The phone LCD screen will prompt an update wizard during startup: (2).Press the OK soft key. The phone LCD screen will prompt “Please insert an EHS36 to update!”. (3). Connect an EHS36 to the Ext port at the back of the IP phone. For more information, refer to Yealink EHS36 User Guide. The EHS36 will update firmware automatically. After a successful update, the phone LCD screen will prompt “The Expansion update Done!”. After a few seconds, the phone LCD screen will prompt “Please insert an EHS36 to update!” again. Then you can repeat step (3) to finish upgrading all your EHS36 devices. We recommend you to recycle the power of the IP phone after EHS36 firmware upgrade. NOTE: Please do not disconnect the EHS36 or power off the IP phone during upgrade. If you incautiously do it, reboot the IP phone and repeat the above steps 2-3. You can refer to more details in How to Upgrade EHS36 Firmware 2. Upgrading to EHS36 Firmware (2.16.0.0) by T38G The specific firmware version of SIP - T38G IP phone is 38.70.0.162.rom. You can download it >> here<<. How to upgrade EHS36: (1).Upgrade T38G to the firmware 38.70.0.162: (2).Set a DSS key as Zero Touch (3).Press DSS key, it will prompt “Update Expand”, then press OK button, and it will prompt "Please insert expansion!" (4).Connect EHS36 to T38G, then the LCD will prompt you to connect it again. Please reconnect the EHS36 to T38G. (5).Then it will take some time to upgrade(Please wait patiently and don’t reconnect it again during this period.) (6).After a successful update, the phone LCD screen will prompt "Update Success!". (7).After a few seconds, the phone LCD screen will prompt “Please insert expansion!” again. Then you can repeat step (4) to finish upgrading all your EHS36 devices. 3. Upgrading to EHS36 Firmware (3.16.0.0) by T46G The specific firmware version of SIP - T46G IP phone is 28.72.0.205. You can download it >> here<<. How to upgrade EHS36: (1).Upgrade T46G to the firmware 28.72.0.205: (2).Set a DSS key as Zero Touch (3).Press DSS key, it will prompt “Update Expand”, then press OK button, and it will prompt "Please insert expansion!" (4).Connect EHS36/EXP40 to T46G, then the LCD will prompt you to connect it again. Please reconnect the EHS36/EXP40 to T46G. (5).Then it will take some time to upgrade(Please wait patiently and don’t reconnect it again during this period.) (6).After a successful update, the phone LCD screen will prompt "Update Success!". (7).After a few seconds, the phone LCD screen will prompt “Please insert expansion!” again. Then you can repeat step (4) to finish upgrading all your EHS36/EXP40 devices. Please remember to upgrade your firmware of Phones after upgrading EHS36 successfully. These special firmwares can't be used for normal use.
