Batteries for W52 Handsets - Cedric - 02-09-2016 11:52 AM

There have been many complaints about poor battery life with the W52 handsets. According to the documentation for W52, the handsets use nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries. However, mine came with lithium ion batteries but the documentation does not reflect that. Was there a recent design change to address the issue with battery life?

I discovered that the batteries that were included with a new W52H handset were actually 1,000mAh Nickel Metal Hydride (with a orange wrapper) instead of the advertised 800mAh.

Does anyone know whether the issues with poor battery life were ever resolved?

Hi,

I know there was in the past some issues about poor battery life.
This was solved with a firmware update. 26.73.0.14 as I remember.
Please do a search on the forum.
I am glad never had any battery issue.

The batteries in my handsets (3x) are: Ni-MH 800mAh, mfg date 2013.
