Allow extension over VPN + local account - avayax - 12-14-2015 10:28 AM

So far, when using VPN, I can only use accounts that register to my server on the remote network.
I also want to use a second local account though, where traffic is not going through the VPN.

So far, Yealink phones are not yet smart enough to distinguish between remote and local network.

Please add that feature.

Thank you for you suggestion, I will give this suggestion to our PD.
Hope they can add this feature in future.

I also need this feature, commenting for support.
Ideally only requests for addresses on the VPN subnet or routes pushed from the VPN server would be sent to the VPN.
I know with standard OpenVPN clients it is configurable wether or not you want all traffic to go over the VPN.
Thanks,
Addison

Any news on this, will this be implemented?

I am having the same problem, and the phone refuses to connect to a LAN IP address when VPN is enabled. This is clearly a bug, and not a feature request.

I think it's hopeless.
Reporting bugs to Yealink just doesn't work, especially over this forum.
There is no procedure in place to get their attention.

Every now and then a Yealink employee might offer you to send him PCAP, but you never hear anything back from them.

Dear customer,

This is Aishion from Yealink technical team, nice to know you. My pleasure to work for you!

For the VPN issue, we release a auto provision parameter in latest V80 that can modify the account using VPN or locally network, you can kindly try below provision string:

account.x.vpn_address_take_precedence=
0- Locally
1- VPN

The X mean the account. If you want the account 2 connect to locally network.
Please try to auto provision this string account.2.vpn_address_take_precedence=0

For information about auto provision, you can kindly refer to below guide:

For no reply issue, we recommend submitting your requests in our Ticketing system (https://ticket.yealink.com) for higher priority.

This is the best way to submit a case, you can follow the prompt to provide significant details and assign your own priority which is helpful for Yealink to understand the issue and respond the issue with correct priority. Also this tracking system can keep you and Yealink support team working with the latest details and status of each case.

If you don't have the account, please refer to below FAQ for how to create the account.

Any question, please feel free to contact us.

Best Regards

Aishion
