EXP40 Provisioned as a Stand Alone Device? - printwest - 01-11-2014 05:36 AM

We have eliminated the need for receptionist now that we have a 3CX PBX, DID's and Yealink phones, but a couple times a day we have vendors and/or customers come in.

Instead of having someone sit up in the front office is it possible to provision an expansion module without a host phone?

We want to put up a sign that says press a button (on the EXP) for assistance. That way we can program buttons such as "Pickup Will Call Order", "Dropoff", "I'm here to see John Doe", etc. Then 3CX would send a recorded message and/or email depending on which button was pressed.

Hi printwest,

Sorry. We don't support this feature now. But we take it into the wishlist.

Sorry. T42G doesn't support expansion. T46G and T48G can support EXP40.
