T46G Plantronics CS540 and intercom - JamesK - 01-10-2014 08:11 AM

anyone been able to get the T46G Plantronics CS540 and intercom to work? Seems the headset will not auto connect the call and then when i hit the button on the headset it disconnects the intercom call and then gets the phone and headset of of sync. anyone have any thoughts?

1. Do you use the EHS36?
Is 3.16.0.0 the version of your EHS36? If not, please click below link to upgrade.

2. Please check the connection between headset , EHS and phone. I also attach a connection figure for you. You can ignore EXP and plug RJ12 directly to EXT port of phone.

The only phones we have in right now is the T41P, the T46G, and the T38G. So you are saying which phones will be able to do the firmware upgrade on the EHS36? And how to do i tell which one i have? Or can I only do that from certain phones? I m very confused right now.

Sorry.
About how to check the version of EHS36, please check as below steps:
1. Enter the webpage->Status, you can see the firmware number of EHS.
2. Please tell me the firmware number of EHS36. If it is 3.16.0.0, please check the connection of headset and EHS36.
If not, please use T38G to update the EHS36.
About how to do, please refer to below link. This T38G can upgrade EXP and EHS.

3. If the connection is correct, please supply me syslog level 6, config.bin and pcap.

Before you export the syslog, please set log level as 6, and reboot the phone, then click Start,and reproduce the issue, then click Stop,and export the trace, syslog, config,bin to us.
(About where to export these files, please refer to attached screenshot.)
These three files are very important for us, hope you can kindly understand.

There is an issue with the 3.5mm cable and using the plantronics cs540. The Yealink 3.5mm audio cable metal tip is not long enough and will not work with these. Trying pushing and holding in the cable into the base and try answering a call.

That fixed my issue, apparently the cable fell out of the EHS36 a bit. Now my headset can pick up calls.

Hopefully they fix the upgrading issue for the EHS36 through a T46G.
