RE: WiFi for T46G - Yealink Support - 08-16-2014 11:20 AM Hi all, T46 and T48 will support in the future. The R&D are developing it now. But detailed time is not yet able to determine now. Any updates, we will inform all customer. thanks for your support to Yealink products. I don't know if any "generic" linux driver that supports every WiFi dongle. Not sure I follow... why would Yealink need to support multiple drivers? They don't have multiple firmwares for their phones, at least not for the phones that have a USB port. Wifi N/AC is built on standards, so if Yealink finds one AC driver that works with their phone firmware, that's all it should take.... I think. Yealink will most likely do the same as they do with the bluetooth option: pick one chipset that's supported in the mainline Kernel, include the driver for that chipset into their firmware build, and then sell the "Yealink Usb Wifi adapter" through their normal sales channels as usual. They could do that today without issue, the key point is the firmware doesn't have any GUI/way to configure the wifi... so they need to wait for the R+D guys to write a new interface, do the usual QA/testing, etc RE: WiFi for T46G - dazeymae - 09-29-2016 11:04 PM Hi, Just to confirm, the T46G does not currently have wifi capabilities or an accessory that will turn it wifi. I need to purchase a Ethernet to Wifi adapter. We have spent hours with the Verizon store. They had us go purchase a basic wifi usb adapter. I am unable to get the phone to acknowledge it. So the phone has a screen to turn wifi on in the anticipation that you will eventually release a firmware that will work with something such as the basic usb adapter. I am just being specific so I can share your information with my employer. She spent time at the Verizon store yesterday and they swore the T46G has wifi capabilities at this time.
