Hi,

I am rolling about about 10 T46G's and am having a VLAN issue. The phones will not tag wtih a specific VID on the WAN port. I set the VLAN settings to be enabled with VID of 4 and it will not send this tag. If I set the network port on the switch to treat untagged data as VID 4, the phone connects correctly. The minute I switch the port on the switch to only allow tagged traffice for VID 4, the phone is no longer on the correct network.

We are running firmwar 28.71.0.182 and Cudatel is our provider. I was able to get by this with about half the phones by untagging, configuring, and then tagging. But a few are still not playing nicely.

Any advice?

Thanks,
Joe
Hi Joe,

I notice that you also send email to our support mailbox. Our technical engineer is solving your issue now.
I am experiencing the same problem. Could the engineer notify me when it has been corrected as well please?

Thanks in advance
Hi innomark,

Our technical engineer will contact with you. Please keep contact with him.
Thanks
Hi,

If you require more information on this.

I am also experiencing the same issue.

Regards,
I'm having the same issue on both of my T46G's, was this ever resolved, we're utilizing 3CX.

Hi MikeTrike,

Do you have cisco switch for voice vlan? If you use DHCP VLAN, you should disable manually setting in phone.
Do your switch send LLDP packet or automatically distribute VLAN ID?
Negative, we use HP ProCurve switches.

The T46G's are the only phones not working, we have a varied mix of phones, all of which are working fine with VLAN's and DHCP. This is something specific to T46G's and none of our other devices.

We have about 150~ total devices, primarily Polycom, with many Yealink devices as well.

Panasonic KX-TGP500
Astra 57iCT
Yealink SIP-T20P
Yealink SIP-T22P
Yealink SIP-T28P
Polycom 650
Polycom 330
I'd also like to point out that DHCP on our default VLAN still assigns out an IP address, even with our Voice VLAN enabled on the phone, it completely ignores it for some reason.

I'd like to deploy more of these phones, however I can't justify making a purchase to replace anymore of our aging Polycom handsets with the VLAN issue in it's present state.
Hi MikeTrike,

Do you test other firmware of T46G? Such as 28.72.0.25 ?

If your issue is still on, please supply syslog level 6, config.bin and pcap of T46G and T28P and send to support@yealink.com.
