Hi all! I've connected a T20P telephone to a catalyst 2960 switch with PoE support but the telephone do not start. The telephone specs says that it support PoE. The switch port is configured with a max power supply of 15.4W.
Is there a specific setting that I'm missing?
Many thanks in advance!
Hi Jemluquez,
Sorry we didn't try with a Catalyst 2960 here before.
Our PoE is require 48V power.
Does every T20P can't start with this switch? Or only this phone can't start?
Hi! Thanks for the quick response.
None of the 5 T20P can start connected to the switch. By the way, other Cisco's phone can start with PoE of the switch.
I will try with a phone firmware upgrade if there any available.
I'll keep you posted.
Regards,
Hi Yealink,

I've got a question, we've bought a Yealink IP Phone SIP-T19P and a IP Phone SIP-T20P. The T20P PoE are working in our Cisco c2960 48pst-l switch, but when trying for the T19P its PoE doesn't work. Is there any configuration we need to do in the IP Phone SIP-T19P?

Thanks.
Hi,

Is it an "old" catalyst 2960?
I'm not very much into cisco switches but I know that cisco had its own pre-IEEE 802.3af standard, before the IEEE 802.3af POE standard.
