Yealink Forums - displays the corresponding associated name on the screen

Hi All......

Is it possible,
that on dialing an Extension, the Phone looks up the addressbook and displays the corresponding associated name on the screen.

Some thing like a reverse lookup.

Yes. We do that here. It will look up anything in the local or remote phonebook (if you have one). We have a script that pulls all of the numbers out of our helpdesk and creates an xml doc for the phones to use.

I actually started with the link below and adjusted the queries to work with our helpdesk. This guide uses some FreePBX MySQL databases, but you can tweak it to work with other db types or other databases.
