Hi,

I have a receptionist with a T28 that is configured to accept multiple calls.
When 1st call comes in the phone rings as per normal.
While the receptionist is online with 1st call, a 2nd call comes in.
Only a light on the phone indicates that there is a new call coming in.
If she is not looking at the phone, she has no idea there is a 2nd call waiting to be answered.

How can I set the phone to "Ring" on the 2nd, 3rd incoming call etc.

Thanks in advance
Jeff

Sorry forgot to mention the phone firmware.

Firmware v2.61.0.80
Hardware v1.0.0.39

please check whether you have enable the call waiting tone feature, please log on web UI, go to Phone->Features->call waiting tone, then enable this feature.

[attachment=26]

then, please go to Phone->Tones-> call waiting, then make the tone as you like,
[attachment=27]

2000, 0 and 500 mean the frequency of the voice, 0 stands for there is no tone last 2000ms. 500, 2000 and 500 stand for the duration of the corresponding frequency.
Thanks Larry,

I have both feature options enabled but nothing set under tones. (Just Custom under select country - the rest is blank)
Can I just enter the example setting you posted (bit confused and can't find any documentation on the tone settings).
Thanks Larry,

That is exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks,

and I can use the speaker instead of the handset to hear this sound ? Alternatively I can hear a normal ring tone by the speaker on the second incoming call while the user is talking on the first line ?

My best regards.

Hi roberto,
If you use the speaker during talking, yes, you can hear the call waiting sound by speaker.
You can configure the call waiting tone under the Phone-Tones page.
Let me know if any misunderstanding.

Same question here, but not happy with the response.

Call waiting tone plays over top of whatever the caller is saying. In a busy environment where the receptionist will probably get 2-3 calls incoming while on the line, the tones played into the headset are obscuring what our customers are saying.

We really need a way to make the phone RING normally, instead of call waiting tone.
