I have T42G that was running v29.80.0.60
I bought the EHS36 & CS540, connected them and everything worked perfectly.
I could be wearing the headset, a call would ring in and I could answer by pushing the button.
The phone has always been configured via auto provisioning.
I updated the firmware on the phone today to T42-29.80.0.70 and now the headset no longer functions like it used to.
Now when a call rings in, if I push the button on the headset, the headset comes on, but the call does not answer. I have to push answer on the desk phone.
Similarly, if I dial a number and hit send, the phone dials, but the headset never tuns on.
It seem that the T42G/EHS36 are no longer correctly communicating with the CS540.
Prior to upgrading firmware this morning, it has not worked this way for the month that I have had this headset.
I downgraded the firmware back to 29.80.0.60 but the headset still does not function as it used to.
Did something in the upgrade change something on the EHS36 itself?
How do I fix this?
Just read the EHS36 upgrade guide and noticed that it can be upgraded with a T38G. I happen to have one laying around so I plugged in the EHS36 to the T38 and it shows the following information.
Can I do something to move the EHS36 to a different firmware version?
Following the process upgrade document,
http://support.yealink.com/documentFront...cumentId=8
I insert the EHS and is shows it as 3.16.0.0 and says reinsert.
I reinsert and it says update failed. I used firmware 38.70.0.162 on my T38G to try this downgrade.
I have no idea what version of firmware the EHS36 had prior to today as I never even knew I needed to check it.
