Full Version: Can you recover contacts/data after a factory reset?

We've been having lots of issues with our T46G's in the office. After speaking with our distributor/support it seems like our only solution is to try a factory reset. However, there are years worth of stored contacts/data on our phones that we're not wanting to lose.

Is there a way to recover that data once there has been a factory reset?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi,

Your distributor/support would know exactly how to backup/restore the contacts/data on your phones.

After a factory reset all data is lost. Period. No way to restore anything.

What you can do... but try this on the most unimportant phone first, is the following:
Go to Directory > Local Directory > Export Contacts and select the account from which the contacts must be saved.
Then factory reset the phone.
After the reset, go back to Local Directory and under Import Contacts you can select the account to which the contacts should be restored.
Our distributor sadly hasn't been much of a help. I'll definitely give that a try.

Thanks!
