Full Version: From field user part incomplete on some outbound calls

Hello,

I've got a newly installed T53 on a remote site, registered to an Asterisk instance.

I've got a pcap file in which for the first outbound call, in primary outbound INVITE, From field is set like this:
From: <sip:192.168.1.1>;tag=123456

In the second call, the From field is set like this:
From: "MyName" <sip:username@1.2.3.4:5060>;tag=123456

1.2.3.4 is Asterisk's IP address.
192.168.1.1 is T53's IP address.

What could be the source of this difference ?

Re-reading my own post, I think its tittle is incorrectly ignoring the fact that in the domain part of the From URI, my T53 used its own IP address in one call, or the IPBX one in another.

This phone is the single one installed in this remote location (I've got of these in similar remote site all over the country) in which the user reported me call quality issues.
I wonder if this change of behaviour while building From field could come from a change in protocol conditions (failure in a previous REGISTER or OPTION exchange) or even network conditions.

I've deployed thousands of Yealink phones and never met anything close to this.

I think I'll restart my investigations from scratch starting with a deeper understanding on recent hardware and firmware revisions.
