Full Version: Creating Pause in Speed Dial on T42S

Hi, we are using a conferencing bridge system and our users would like to be able to hit a speed dial and it also dial their PIN code. Is there a way to be able to create a pause when dialing and then it automatically dial the PIN for them?

I have tried to enter in a # or * to create the pause but it just says "invalid entry" when the number dialed receives the call.

I have searched several options, but they suggestions were from a few years ago and does not work on our new system.

TIA,
Tamara
Is this for a DSS key or for a Local Directory entry?

For a DSS key you can use commas for puase. Like:
2124555543,,3453#
Or (for older firmware/models) use a custom key type. Like:
2124555543$Cpause2$3453#$Tdtmf$

In a phonebook I think you can do it by using the similar syntax as in the Custom Key but placed in parenthesis (this is a new thing added in v84 firmware and you might also need to enable other things before that):
(2124555543$Cwc$$Cp2$3453#$Tdtmf$)

(In our examples it calls 2124555543 waits 2 secs and then dials 3453#. Modify it to your need.)
