I ordered a VP59 and unfortunately received a VP59 Teams Edition. When trying from a SIP firmware upgrade, the hint that a SIP license has to be installed first came. Does anyone have an info where to get one ?

Hi Kristy,
Thank you for receiving a license from the support. Unfortunately, installing a new firmware still doesn't work.
License could be installed without any problems but when I wanted to upload the new firmware then the upgrade broke with the error message

firmware update failed!

I'm desperate - what am I doing wrong?

Which firmware does it have now and you're updating it to what?

Thanks for your response.

For the issue, may I know the firmware you are using and you want to upgrade to?

If the firmware you are using is V40 or above, there is a limitation so that the phone is not allowed to convert the firmware from Teams to SIP. So please contact your phone provider to change the correct device.

If no, may I know which way you use to upgrade the firmware? Via website or via auto provision?

I have 6 VP59 phones with Teams-Firmware 91.15.0.16 (Hardware Version 91.1.0.0.0.0.0) and need to change to SIP-Firmware.
Directly installing VP59-91.85.0.5.rom or VP59-91.283.0.40.rom via Webinterface does not work.
I read that a SIP-License file is needed. Is switching to SIP-Firmware possible from that version (91.15.0.16)? Ticket ID is 125014.

I am having the same issue. VP59 phone that I need to setup with SIP on my VOIP service. I need more than just teams. My current firmware is Firmware Version
91.15.0.26. I need SIP for the phone.
I have a VP59 thats currently licensed for zoom. Can we get a SIP license for this device?
