I had problems this morning registering a trunk to, lets call it Sip3.VSP.com.au on one of our phones to, lets say EXT 1234 yet I successfully registered to EXT 1234 using Sip4.VSP.com.au
I tried another phone and I successfully and quickly registered to EXT 1234 using Sip3.VSP.com.au
The phones were Yealink T48G (wouldnt register via sip3) and Yealink T46G (instantly registered via Sip3)
Any thoughts on why this would happen?
Just curious
The problem could be anywhere from your phone through your firewall to your provider.
My T48S sometimes happen to have a hiccup with account configuration, i.e. fail to register an account. But this only happened after I changed an account, e.g. changed the server IP, and issued provisioning. In such cases, I reset the T48S and after first provisioning everything is fine.

Hi Brian,

First thought: Check the DNS settings in your phone.
If you use a SIP FQDN in trunk settings try with provider IP adress instead.
