Full Version: How to register T41S using DD10 dongle to W60 base

Hello,

In past I had successfully registered the T41S desktop phone to the W60 DECT base station
Using a DD10 dongle within the USB-port.

Normally I am using a WiFi dongle WF50 for the T41S to connect to the network.
(Using separate VOIP SIP-accounts set within the T41S).

As I have updated all firmware to the latest version for my phones.
I also want to update the special "DECT" firmware as used within the T41S

That DECT update version = T41S(T42S)-ddphone-66.84.0.115.rom

USB is enabled within the T41S, (so the DECT dongle should be working).
In spite the menu says "No USB attached". (Could be related to USB memory stick ??).
At least, as soon as I go back to the USB WiFi-dongle. It is found and do have a WiFi connection.

Still the "old" registering credentials within my W60 base station are there
for circumstances when using the DECT dongle.
So I suppose I have to register the TS41S again to the W60 base station.

W60 base station is updated by firmware file W60B-77.83.0.85.rom
W56 hand sets are updated by firmware file W56H-61.83.0.90.rom

The "normal" TS41S firmware is updated by file T46S(T48S,T42S,T41S)-66.85.0.5.rom

But still want to update the "separate" DECT firmware to file T41S(T42S)-ddphone-66.84.0.115.rom

It has to be done by the W60 base station, and choosing that file to send to the "hand sets".

Please can somebody point me to the right direction?
Hi,

I do not have the configuration as you have, but if I read the steps you took to update the DD10K and compare it to the manuals, I think you have used the correct procedure.

My question: Did you reset all devices to factory settings after the firmware update before trying to connect / upgrade the DD10K?

No I didn't. In past, that wasn't necessary.
Choosing for DECT (DK10) you do get the "DECT" user gui.
Using an ethernet cable or W50 WiFi dongle you do get the "deskphone" user gui.

I shall give it a try in the next couple of days.

Thank you for your response.
