Hi All,

So I have a T57W which is connected over WiFi. If I was to use this via RPS, which MAC address would the device present when connecting. Will it always be the Ethernet Adapter MAC address or will it use the MAC of the LAN Connectivity method the device uses to gain connection? (in my case the WLAN MAC address)

Thanks in advance

Hi,

To discover the provisioning server using the Zero Touch, PnP, DHCP or Static methods, the phone mush have an active network (Internet) connection.

After a factory reset, all settings in the phone are back to default… WiFi mode is disabled, no WLAN connection to the local wireless adapter, so there is not connection to the network (Internet).

I think that a WiFi connection has to be made manually first to be able to provisioning the phone afterwards.

I hope I have explained it well.
Hi Complex1,

I understand this bit fine, I am trying to find out which MAC address the device will use when connecting/registering to the Provisioning server. Will it use the MAC of the method the device is getting connection from or will it always present the Ethernet MAC regardless of which method the phone is getting connection on?

Thanks

It will always present the wired Ethernet MAC (i.e. the one printed on the physical label on the device).
Fantastic, thanks for the assistance on this one Angel
