I upgraded the phone to the latest firmware and on reboot it sticks at Initializing... So, I am trying the recovery process which goes OK except in the /var/log/messages ( tftp log ) I see:

RRQ from 198.168.1.151 filename T4X_SPI.bin

over and over again... thing is I did rename T41.bin to T4X_SPI.bin and so on...

Permissions are fine and the file is indeed there. Not sure what to do now?
Hello,

Please try the .rfs and .bin file in the FTP server.

@Yealink_James thanks but no joy:
ug 14 12:29:28 freepbx-b in.tftpd[1562]: RRQ from 198.168.1.151 filename T4X_SPI.bin
Aug 14 12:29:33 freepbx-b in.tftpd[1563]: RRQ from 198.168.1.151 filename T4X_SPI.bin
Aug 14 12:29:38 freepbx-b in.tftpd[1615]: RRQ from 198.168.1.151 filename T4X_SPI.bin

over and over meaning it does not seem to like the T4X_SPI.bin ( i did rename the T41.bin to that...)
Sorry I copy a wrong link. Can you use T4X_SPI.bin and T4X_SPI.rfs in the file.

Can you please try another TFTP software like 3CDaemon?
Please make sure that phone and PC are in a same subnet and check whether all three files are downloaded.

Regards,
James
Still no joy. Are there any T41 specific files I can try?

This is sort of a bummer in that it is a new phone that, due to a Yealink firmware update is now useless...
No one has a solution on this? I have the same problem with the OP. PLEASE HELP
