Full Version: Phones Web UI Not Working after Firmware Update

We are trying to roll firmware updates for our t4x phones and update the firmware for a few of them. They are all running into the same issue of after the update you cannot connect to the web portal after you update the phones unless you do https:// . It then prompts you that the site is unsafe and you can get in from there. However if you put in just the IP of the phone it states the phone is not working.
I know this is an old post but found it odd there was no response. For the benefit of others, I'll go ahead and respond based off my experience.

You probably already figured this out but https has been an option for quite a while, just not forced.
Now, https is forced (from what I can tell) in all Yealink firmware.

You can change it to allow http and/or https in the config files for the phone but it is probably best to leave it at https and also probably best to configure all Yealink phones to only use https.
What happens if you don’t connect the phone to the Internet and then try a factory reset.

I am thinking that the phone is set to go out to the Internet and connecting to a provisioning server of some sort.

If you try this, let us know your results.
