My current firmware version is 66.83.0.33 and I am trying to update to the latest firmware version I downloaded, which is 66.84.0.15. I put the phone's IP address into my browser and log into the phone. Then I go to the settings tab and then click "Upgrade" on the left. I browse to the .rom file I downloaded and then hit "Open". Then I hit the "Upload" button. It tells me that it will take 5 minutes to update the firmware. I hit "OK" and let it do it's thing. The phone says it is downloading and then installing. After 5-7 minutes, I check the phone's firmware and it is still 66.83.0.33. Any ideas?

Hi,

The steps you follow are good, but what I think is that your phone is locked to an service provider, because everytime after you have upgrade the phone, the firmware downgrade again.
You can check this as follows: disconnect the phone from the internet, reset the phone to factory default, upgrade the firmware, check if the phone is running the new firmware, then reconnect the internet, check if the phone firmware is still up-to-date.
If the firmware revert to 66.83.0.33 I suggest to contact the service provider or reseller from who you buy the phone.

Hope this will help.

The upgrade worked when the phone was not connected to the internet, but as soon as I connected it the firmware reverted back to 66.83.0.33. I just have to get that feature turned off somehow. Thank you for your help!

At least wait till the phone after upgrading has restarted itself.
Don't refresh web-browser till upgrade and restarting option is completely ended.
